Transform Workplace Stress into Creative New Opportunities
Part Two - Assess Your Situation
To assess the situation is to evaluate it. What is working? What is not? What action can be taken, by whom to improve the situation, productivity or life work satisfaction. Knowledge is information that changes something or somebody - either by becoming grounds for actions, or by making an individual (or an institution) capable of different of more effective action. Peter Drucker
Change starts with Awareness
Change is inevitable and constant. Change is here with increasing complexity and intensity. How effectively you can recognize opportunities and adapt is critical to your well being and your success. The capacity to cope is a function of effective thinking. Stopping to assess the situation and deciding to take charge of things within your power is the first step toward managing the stressors in your life at home or at work and transforming stress into creative new opportunities.
A.C.T. Coaching Model
The ACT coaching model represents a practical process consisting of three primary steps:- Assess and accept your situation - assess the situation, see it clearly and accept responsibility
- Consider Options and Choose – do a personal SWOT analysis, Make a choice
- Take Action - Set direction, prepare for and take strategic action.

Identify the Pressures
Energy tied up in stress is energy lost to productivity. Identify the primary pressures you are currently facing. Consider your options and decide on a productive course of action, where you can have the greatest return on your effort.
